I had a similar problem: I have a grid that gets bound to a (collection) property of an item in a detailsview.
I have contentpage overriding the On Init event of a masterpage.
The override works fine, until I put a custom user control on the page: in this case the On Init event does not fire for the contentpage (no overrides are used in the user control) What are the possible causes/solutions for this?
home-View contains buttons with different options like 'insert a record', 'edit a record', 'update a record' ect. so when the user clicks ' Edit a Record' on ' Home-View', programs takes user to ' View Grid).
Data Bind(); @Tim Schmelter : I have 2 Views ( View Home, View Grid ).
Width="99%" Header Style-Css Class="ph Head" Css Class="phone Table" Grid Lines="Both" Auto Generate Edit Button="true" Auto Generate Delete Button="true" On Row Editing="gv2_Row Editing" On Row Canceling Edit="gv2_Row Conceling Edit" On Row Updated="gv2_Row Updated" On Row Updating="gv2_Row Updating" Edit Row Style-Back Color="Light Yellow" Data Key Names="id External ID" If you're manually binding data to the Grid View (not using a Data Source ID), then the Row Updating event will fire after an update command, but the Row Updated event will never fire.
The Grid View control resides in a User Control which is referenced in an page that is housed inside a Master Page. Gridview Whoa what a waste the last three hours have ultimately been...
the View state is disabled because I need the the Grid View to be displayed even when there is no data. I have a databound control that has the datasource set dynamically. I have a button inside a row with the command name set to ' Update'. All I want to do is execute a stored proc (SQL Server) whenever the user clicks "Update" (Auto Generate Edit Button="true") but, when the user clicks "Update" (after clicking "Edit"), Row Updating does not fire.
I ran the app and lo and behold, my Row Updating event handler fired! To String())); When the user clicks the row, i bind some data to a checkbox list, showing a uers a list of options they have chosen. Problem is when i click on the textbox or the checkbox, it causes the row click event to fire. Update other controls after a Postback has fired from another control - eg insert data Hi This is a slight modification to the personalweb template which shipped with VS2005 I have a web form - linked to a master with two content placeholders left and right: #1 In the left i have a formview containing a textbox button - and a datasrouce object with an insertmethod - this calls a method to insert the textbox data into table albums: #2 In the right i have a gridview which has a datasource this has a selectmethod which calls a select method from table albums.
Row Updating event not firing on update button click for Grid View Control Hi, I've viewed some of the other posts and although they come close to addressing my problem they still leave something lacking so here goes. Because i am using a maser template with two content placeholders i cannot use the same Object D...
